Today I got a call from one of my former Jr High runners. (Her coach told her to call me because he knew that I detected) She was now throwing the discus at the high school level. She had lost her Senior ring and a small diamond ring a week ago today at a High School Track meet. She and her friends had looked for them with no success. I went to their practice and had to wait until they were finished throwing. (I didn't want to get hit.) While waiting I detected on the Band practice field and found $1.16 in change and a Sterling Silver necklace from the class of 03. When practice was over I started going over the area that she showed me and in about 5 minutes I had found both rings about 15 feet apart. Needless to say she was very happy and thankfull. The whole bunch of kids though that was the neatest thing. She was lucky as they had just mowed today and neither of them had got hit.

I probably had more fun finding these rings than if they were keepers. And the bottom line is that she was very thankful which isn't always the case.
