SCD v. SCD

The 'old' SCD is considered reliable. Correct?

The 'new' (blue) SCD grades trimmed cards, fakes, or what is the reputation of this company?

The old company was legit but the new one is a company to be avoided in my opinion.

Seems to be an atypical amount of super high grade "old" SCD stuff on ebay in the last month though. Be cautious - I think there was thread on this about a month ago.

the "red" labels are good. the "blue" - sports cards direct are to be avoided imo as others have stated.

I'm not entirely convinced that the new SCD is in the same (low) class as GEM or Pro. I'm a fan of '91 Desert Shield Topps baseball cards and have been in contact with several other '91 Desert Shield collectors, some of whom are PSA Set Registry collectors. They've been getting fantastic results crossing over from the new SCD label. Several PSa 10s and 9s that have been added to the current pop were from SCD 10s and 9s.

I wouldn't quite put the new SCD in the same class as the crap companies like PRO ans GEM. I only tested them once, however, and a 1955 Topps card went from a SCD 8 to a PSA 7. Considering the bargain price I bought it for, I was pretty happy.

has anyone done a crossover from the new SCD (blue) to psa with the case intact?

    Thanks,
