Anyone use or have confusion with auction helper

Bought a very expensive 55 topps brooklyn dodger's auto, seller claims "it was shipped ups a week ago, and I HAVE RECEIVED IT." Say wha...... UPS says it was shipped to my ebay address where I lived 3 years ago. What do I do??? Go there (my old address) and kick the f'in door down??

  • Lot's of questions first. How did the old address come into the picture? Was it insured? Documentation, emails, confirmed address, etc. How did you instruct the seller to ship and why were your instructions not followed ?

Using the seller's link (sent via e-mail), Auction Helper it will prompt you to verify your address before checkout is complete. Was this done? If you paid w/ PayPal, then that's the address required for shipment.

I had paid by paypal, but not used auction helper, when I tried to go on the auction helper site, it said I had no outstanding bills to be paid. he just checked the addy on the helper site and shipped to the wrong address. Paypal has my address correct , and I DID pay for insurance

How does auction helper help a seller?? Seems like a pain when I buy things.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

I think they're completely worthless. I can't imagine selling on eBay and not wanting to list my own cards. And I think I pay eBay and PayPal enough, without adding MORE fees to the mix!!!

Auction Helper does put an address in its "invoice" to show a ship to . If you paid via Paypal and the shipment was insured, file a claim. I still do not understand how and why your old addresss was used. Had you not checked out a Auction Helper Buy for three years ?

  • Soundslike the seller made a mistake, but how did he get your three year old address ????

I once made a purchase from a seller and when I moved to another address and purchased from the seller again I gave them my new address via e-mail. Unfortunately the seller did not use the e-mailed new address and shipped it off their old records and the card shipped to my old address......oooops on the seller! This was not an auction helper situation, but I figured it appropriate for this situation as RipublicaninMass indicated he didn't use the Auction Helper? I eventually received the item.....it was obvious it had taken a long journey but all was well with the item image

It simply sounds like the seller had the old address from a prior purchase and sent the item to the wrong address. In my situation the new resident of my old address just gave it back to the post office and they forwarded it to me at my new address that I had left with the post office (still within a year of leaving forwarding address). Now if your forwarding address has expired (usually after 1 year) or you never left a forwarding address with the USPS, the item would be returned to the seller if the person at your old address did the the Elvis on it "RTSAU" (Return To Sender.....Address Unknown) image

Good Luck with your package! image

I do not understand the purpose of Auction Helper or Vendio or any of those after auction checkouts. I just bypass these and pay with Paypal and I'm done with it. Isn't it the same thing?? You checkout with Auction Helper.....the seller gets an email with your info. You pay with Paypal or use Ebay's checkout....the seller gets an email with your info.
