Wow, nice special this time

This months special is probably the best I've ever seen from PSA. 1964-present for $5 each. This should open the floodgates in Newport Beach so I'm mailing mine off right away. I just picked up this lot on ebay in hopes for a special. Lots like this can be hit and miss. I figured worst case I'd be out $50 if they aren't gradable. Best case is a gold mine. We'll see.

The $13 "special" is useless (99% of the people won't pay that much to a card graded) and the 1964-present should have gone back one more year. It's been 6 months since I sent anything in and it may take that much longer before I send the 63s in (the only thing I have left to grade).

I agree with you Steve, this is a good special. I know I will take advantage of this.
  • Notice there is no turn around guarantee. Could be years before you get them back. image

Well you don't have to wait, if you want guaranteed times, just pay more.

$5 set registry special would be (I think) intended for personal collections, not necessarily meant to sell. So in that regard, why's there a rush?

These specials are really hit and miss. One time in the past I sent in 2 100 card orders at the same time. One was done in 3 days and one was done in 6 weeks. $5 doesn't mean it takes forever. It's really a crap shoot with these.

I'll have to dust out some subs as well.
Great special, not just limited to a specific sport or a specific decade...jay

What Steve said. It is truly random. Eany, meany, miney mo . . . That said, this is probably the best special I have ever seen.

Have to agree its a crap shoot. Mine from the last $5 special is still waiting to be graded. I am sure some one who sends theirs in now will get it back before I get mine.

I think this is a great special, and I am sending in 25 cards tomorrow.
