NAXCOM.COM - Horrible experience! Be forwarned!

Just used Naxcom for the first time last week, I purchased about a dozen singles to help complete my Sabo collection. Most of the cards have arrived now. Well, because Naxom limits the sellers to $1.50 for single cards, most (in my case 8 out of the 9) sent my cards in unprotected white envelopes with a $.37 stamp! HORRIBLE! Cards were listed at Nm to Mint... HA! Most of what I got is trash! In half the cases, the attrotious shipping technique was to blaim! Even though I just discovered Naxcom, I'm through with that rackett! I realize you get RAPED on Ebay at times for shipping, but at least you can go in and leave feedback that expresses your distaste... NOT ON NAXCOM!

Be forewarned... I had a TERRIBLE experience, and will not be returning anytime soon!

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

I had a bad experience as well, although for an entirely different reason. What made it even worse was that Naxcom was a pain to deal with. Coupled with a lousy search engine and tons of overpriced garbage it's not worth the time or effort.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

For cards like the Sabo's I would use Beckett.com. I collect Ron Gant and have used Beckett a lot to fill the holes in my collection. At times the shipping can be a bit high but usually you can find a dealer that has seaveral of the cards you need to keep the cost down. Sorry for the bad experience.

  • My experience with Naxcom (25+ purchases over the last 4 months) has been that 75% of the time on average, the sellers won't ship your item and won't answer emails. Customer service over there is getting sick of my emails and phone calls requesting refunds. I finally have given up buying raw common singles from Naxcom. I have found that Beckett.com is much better for those type of purchases. The only thing Naxcom is good for is making offers on cards and hoping you get a buyer willing to accept a below market bid, which I have had good luck in the past with.

I have had absolutely no problems with Naxcom. I buy and sell and have never had a card out of stock. I have been sent cards in lesser condition than expected, and Naxcom took care of it immediately. If you aren't satisfied, call them up, and they will reverse the charges.

  • I've actually had a very positive experience with NAXCOM. However I've only sold cards. If I were to receive a card in a plain white envelope I would be livid. I've never had issues with the S&H that NAXCOM allows on tranactions and I've always mailed in top loaders and bubble mailers. Some sellers just don't get it!

I've brought a few cards off Naxcom, a few PSA 20.00 - 30.00 dollar cards--no biggie. However, I do not like their search engine and it is frustrating to see sellers insane astronomical prices on cards you need and likewise funny to see buyers with their wantlists wanting sellers to basically give cards away....I haven't used it in close to a year.

I can't search for a Jack Johnson vintage boxing card without first scrolling through a 1,000 modern Randy Johnson Cracker Jack modern cards.

Fasttalon, Another place to fill player wantlists is Simsclassicsports, I've bought a lot of Red Sox cards there, they have everything & turn it over fairly rapidly. Search engine is very good.
