Very interesting . . . . . . . after a disasterous 10 passed balls with Josh Bard, the Red Sox traded Bard, a minor league prospect, and cash to get Doug Mirabelli back. Probably was worth the price.

Get this -- the Yankees tried to get Mirabelli to keep the Red Sox from getting him back!!

I guess Cashman talked the Boss out of paying stupid money for him.

This just might be the biggest acquisition for the Sox this year. It will give nuckles Wakefield the confidence he needs to throw well over 200 innings, or should I say throw over 200 innings well.
