I've been to Rob Joyce's website but can't seem to find this 1921-D. There's a chunk missing from between the denticals below the "A" in "DOLLAR." Can anyone help? Thanks.

VAM-1AH. Rob's book has a little premium on it. However, since I have an NGC 66 and PCGS 64, I don't think they are all that uncommon, despite Leroy's R-6 assessment too.

1AH IV 1 · D2a (Die Break First S in STATES to Rim) (189) I-2 R-6

Reverse D2a– Heavy die cracks thru tops of STATES with small die break on left side of top serif in first S in STATES. Heavy die crack from first S in STATES up to left to rim and another die crack from back of first S to wing tip up to rim to form sunken displaced coin area of die break.

Thanks Coxe. This is just an AU specimen but I thought it was cool for $11.

At the current silver spot, eleven bucks for an AU Morgan is pretty nice. It is still a good variety too, probably worth 3 or 4 times that depending on how late the state is.

It's a very weak strike on Liberty's hair and half of the eagle's breast on the reverse. Decent luster, and not too many bag marks though.
