100 Lire question

Let me first say that I am clueless when it comes to wrold coins. I have a 100 lire coin that I would assume is a commemorative coin? On one of the sides of the coin, it has the date 1881 and 1981. Also, along the upper part of the rim, it says "CENTENARIO ACCADEMIA NAVALE DI LIVORNO". Could someone tell me what this coin is about? Thank you for informing the uninformed!

It's a commemorative piece for the 100th Anniversary of the Italian Naval Academy at Livorno, Italy.
