The photo not the coin

For what it's worth this is the first coin I found a few days ago when I decided I and my daughter were coin collectors. This came from a search of loose change.
Anyway, the coin isn't worth much as far as I can tell, but I'm just trying to mess the photography aspect a bit. I tried to catch the number of steps on the back, and I've only depicted the front in the image. There are definitely steps there but the picture doesn't show them, and I'll be darned if I can count them with a 10x magnifying glass. They can be seen clearly when the coin is tilted so that means I can play with the angle and the flash and get it depicted, but then I bet I improve or lose other details as well.
Anyway, does this photo fit the bill for adequate depiction or do I need to go back to the drawing board.
