when searching some rolls of 2006 nickels i found a dozen or so of these, with some having much less "lumps" and progressing to this. die chip?

Not sure if they are having problems with the new dies, but these are very plentiful seeing as half of what I have exhibits these markings

Looks like a karmic response to both the nickel being hijacked for Monticello forevermore and to the mint for calling the same old design a new design.
