Thought some folks would find the rest of the list interesting, given the current question over how tight PCGS may be grading. All of this was made possible due to Russ, with additional thanks for his fantastic photography. He cracked everything prior to submission. None of the ANACS coins were newer holders.

Eh. Whatever.

Yes!!! Coin has really nice irridescent skin. I'm very happy about this coin.

My finest moment (along with the $20 Russ previously posted) purchasing raw coins.
5 11188688 1897 25C USA MS61 (ex-ANACS62)
It is hard not to get defensive about one's coins, and I hate the idea that this coin might not be original (dipped, retoned). It really does have some sharp luster under the toning. As I look at the pictures, I see more and more marks I never noticed. And I think that big dig that looks like a tear really hurt it.

Well of course I'm happy! And again, hard not to get defensive when people are grading AU/MS coins from photos. Awesome photos, but the coin has a very thick skin that I think is deceptive. I wonder if some would feel different about it if they had it in hand.
