The effect of bullion prices on silver medals.

I was at my local shop on Wednesday buying some door prizes for the coin club. One of the dealer's employees, who knows I collect numismatic publisher medals, offered me a silver one at essentially bullion. Since I already had an example, I passed. Back when silver was $6-7 an ounce I would have picked it up, but with silver at $13 an ounce I found I wasn't interested. In my opinion, the bullion value was considerably higher than the potential numismatic value, hence, no interest.
All glory is fleeting.
