So.....Did anyone here snag any of Heritage's three 1792 Half Dismes?

I would've loved to have the NGC VG08 one but it went for huge money. $62K + the juice. Way over all the price guides, but with a coin
like this I guess all the guides can go in the trash. Still I think it went way overboard.

NGC VG08

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

these coins are museum pieces and still went for cheap

now if you think those coins are historical look at the massachusetts 1787 half and large cents struck in historic boston mass first of issue coins and the first colonial -confederatiuon usa issued coins to have the word half cent on them with the american eagle that eventually appeared on the first federally issued silver and gold coinage struck at the philly mint these coins are terribly undervalued

but i see the market finally waking up for these historical coins and these mass coins have more history than the deems image and are mucho less LESS priced to boot!

I wonder what they would've went for if sold privately & not by a major auction house. The historical value is a matter of perspective. How many coins can be directly linked
to their matierial being personally provided by George Washington & after minting personally possessed by Thomas Jefferson until distributed? I'll take the half dismes.

    i agree with micheal.

Massachusetts was always ahead of its fellow 12 other colonies.
It was always in the lead when it came to certain issues.

It does not surprise me at all, that they HEAVILY influenced
    the federal govt's decisions.

i also want the VG8. But I only have 1,000 to throw at it image

So, how come the 1792 Half Dismes I own in the World Series haven't gone up in value?

I suppose they will as soon as some adjustments are made for the auction realizations.
