Found this old coin/medal by a lake, Any clues?

Just curious..

Its about the size of a half dollar

The letters look greek... guessing PH**NOS

    The loop looks original to the piece. It's a medal or charm, not a coin. IMHO

    It may be a pendant

    There is however a clear delineation between the coin and the loop (not noticable in the pictures)

    If it is a pendant Im sure it is a replica of something but I would be curious to know that too.

    I found It at my lake house. No other family has owned the property for 50+ years and It does not belong to anyone in my family. I suspect it has been on my property under water for many years.

    Cool find! I can't identify it, but it really looks like somthing I have seen before (I know, big help)... I will check back later and hope to see an identified relic...

    The figure on the front might be an imitation of an old Greek coin.
    The figure on the back looks like someone running.
    Possibly a track or footrace medal?
