Thanks for the link. Ridiculous. There's no excuse for that. He needs some maturity and I think a lengthy suspension is a good start. An apology to the umpire and some community service related to anger management/violence would be warranted as well. He technically committed assault and battery using a dangerous weapon. He's lucky there aren't any criminal penalties being imposed at this point.

MAN! That's the first time I've seen the video.... Ya, I hate to see talent wasted, but he should be kicked out on his rear for life. Make the guy sell shoes at "Kenny's Shoes" for the rest of his life. Think he'll regret it? What a total turd!

I'm just north of Tampa, and the local papers here always run stories about the Rays future. At least 3 to 4 stories a year involve Delmon Young and his tantrums about not playing in the majors yet.

You have some players that are students of the game. You have some players that are ambassadors of the game. And then you have some that have no respect for the game.
