1977's through the roof?

I have been dabbling in the 1977's for the last year or so, but here are a couple I won't be messing with:

Fran Healy

Kong-the strikeout King

redsoxjeff pays stupid money for cards he wants. It's not exactly a secret.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Maybe DGF can weigh in on any significance the Fran Healy card might have other than being a 1/1. I bought a semi star 1/1 last year for $150.

I collect the all stars and was thinking of getting in the mix on the Kong. But, the way the price is going, I am thinking I'll stick with my 9.

I am surprised that RedSoxJeff doesn't snipe. What he is doing now just appears to be driving the eventual price up.

Kingman & Healy are both tough cards in that set, having said that I wouldn't pay those prices but Jeff does for what he needs......look at his set. I have a Kingman 8 & probably won't go above that.

I would bet the high bidder(the new 0 feedback guy) is andrew deally , a new york nut, his most recent id was (mm-sisters) was recently NARU'd.

I saw that MM-Sisters bid on a lot of the same auctions as me. Seeing that new bidder coming in with those high bids strikes me as someone screwing with things. That being said, how on Earth does a Fran Healy approach 4 bills? I guess if a 1971 Claude Raymond 8 can fetch double that, anything is possible.

It is probably just the scan, but the Kingman looks to have some sort of a defect right above the all star banner.

    steve,
i was referring to the seller. i had emailed him and asked where he ran across such a nice run. he said from various ebay purchases over the last few weeks/months and just some items he had laying around.

    Thanks,

    David (LD_Ferg)

you are quickly becoming one of the biggest annoyances on these forums..

do you ever have anything to offer besides anti-PSA messages and being a message board patrolman?

aren't you in "law enforcement" as a career? are you assigned to report ebay auctions with 1/1 in the title and message board avatars?
