A question for the Roosie collectors...(PICS ADDED)

I was recently given a set of of silver Roosie Dimes (1946-1964). Most of the coins have been circulated. All of the dimes are toned as they have been in an album since the '60's. One of the dimes stands out from the rest. It is the 1962-D. It has awsome deep red toning starting at the bottom of the obverse and kinda surrounding Roosie's face. It makes Roosie's face stand out like a Cameo. The reverse toning is also nice. Im bad at grading Roosie's but I would guess this coin to be a MS65 with a possible FT. I would like to get the thing graded but dont want to put up the cash to get a pretty common dime graded. Is this thing worth sending to PCGS? What kind of premium will Rossie collectors pay for a nicely toned example in the above grade? No pictures as of now, but at lunch I may be able to post some. Thanks for the help.

Pics first, story later. Can't answer your question without the pics. And make em good.

In my experience, nicely toned examples of Roosie dimes aren't hard to come by at all, and they don't command much of a premium. I was able to get about 9 different really nice PCGS MS66 toned examples with everything from pinks to greens and blues for under $20.00 a coin. (None were FB, though)

I have now added pictures. They are my first pictures. They are not the best. The revese lighting does not show all the detail of the torch. The pics show the full bands, but not the lines of the torch. They are there.

Not bad, adjust your white balance. Coin does look 65 ish with full bands. If you're curious about the submission/slabbing game, that would be an OK candidate IMO.

If you got 66FB, you might be able to make a few bucks. Otherwise, forget it. The FB looks like a lock from here. The toning is not premium type color.

I am not a toned Roosie expert, but I recently sold two 1950's Roosies that were visually more attractive than the coin posted for a total of $13.

You say you want to get it graded, but then say you don't want to put out the money to get it graded.

The submission/slabbing game comes with a tuition. If you want to learn, you have to pay to play. It's a minimal amount, and by doing so, you will learn, and not be subject to the "advice" of people who think they know more than you just because you've never submitted a coin. See above.

Pharmer, I have had many, many, coins slabed. I know all about the game and the costs of the game. I just have never had one like this slabed. I am a Silver Dollar/Half Dollar guy. I dont mess with these modern dimes much. I guess my strange opinion is that a coin better have some weight to it before I will mess with it. I only wanted to know if a Rossie collector would pay a premium for this coin if it graded MS65FB. If it turns out that i may only get $20 bucks for the thing I will probably not have the thing slabed. I also think the dime looks better in hand than in the pics. The deep red is beautiful in hand. The pics make the tone look dirty brown. I may slab for the thing just so I can hold onto it.
