Sealed bag of WHEATS!

Check it! Ebay

I did some browsing on ebay tonight for about an hour in the plain old "coins" section and I have determined that 99% of the coins on ebay are CRAP! Lots of hyped up auctions from scumbags trying to make a buck on others ignorance. It made me feel kind of sick.

9 cents per wheatie seems like a decent price. Maybe you'll find a 14-D. If nothing else you could use them to salt your pocket change and generate some interest with YNs in your community...

By the way it's not just coins. 99% of Everything on ebay is crap. Just gotta keep looking for that one in a hundred...

What got me about this auction is the "sealed" and "unsearched" and "SEALED IN A TAMPER-PROOF BANK BAG!!!!"
I thought OH YEAH, a sealed mint bag of wheats! It's farkin plastic bank bag of Lincolns. If it's a true "bank" bag (yeah, I have seen these before, you get them from a bank if you order a random $50 worth of cents), how did it just happen to be a bag of wheats?

I'm curious as to why he put S for the mintmark instead of unknown or PDS... I've never sold anything on ebay, so maybe it only allows for one mint mark for coins imageimage

Hmm, maybe they were sealed before 1959. The bag looks like polyethylene though. Did they even have PE back then?

Or, maybe the "estate" had thousands of wheats in a big glass jug, and they just counted em and bagged em without picking through them.

"Estate". I see that word a lot on ebay. Means about as much as "given to me by my grandfather" I guess.

or not. If you're willing to get a bag of 5000, you can find them for about half the asking price ($46 per thousand) lots of places.

I have one of those "Food Saver" bag sealers that I'll let you use to create your own sealed bags of unsearched wheat cents.
