Can you believe someone actually DID this?

He found a source for .....TERRIFIC..... coins. Was having a ball and showing them to everybody. Did it over and over. Finally had them graded......and THEN...... showed the source how high they came back.

THEN wondered why the source "dried up."

Honest injun.

I've done that once, but only because the dealer knew I had the coin graded and asked about the grade.

I've ripped many dealers but I'm not stupid enough to rub their noses in it.

I had a dealer tell me he had a nice Canadian 25 cent piece that was 66 with a shot at 67. He told me he could probably get a nice price for it if he knew a good buyer, but offered it to me for $350. I sent it in to PCGS and it did indeed come back 66. While I could easily double my money and sell it, the dealer sold it to me because he knew I would appreciate the coin (I needed it to complete a set). That sort of thing sure encourages loyalty.

Image that dealer's buy prices. If he's selling them to you at a bargain he had to rip them for the first owners...

I wouldn't say a thing to the "source" and giggle like a school girl when I left his/her sight.
