all sold thank you

These coins are new to the market. They have been sitting in a Dansco for quite a few years before I sent them to vamslabbed for VAM identification. Then I decided I wanted them graded by PCGS as well. The VAM is not noted on the holder but I have no doubt it is correct. Interesting note on the 1879. I have a letter stating Mr. Van Allen's suspicions this coin is a possible counterfeit. On the other hand PCGS did grade it while throwing 4 other expensive (for me)Morgans of mine in body bags. So I do not feel they were being generous to me. Just putting the info out there.

As far as it being a capped die or not I am not even sure it is authentic. When I sent these and other Morgans to messydesk for variety attributition he recognized the mintmark out of position for an authentic 1879 CC. He sent it and others on to Leroy Van Allen to look at and for various reasons he felt it was possibly struck from counterfeit dies. I have a letter from him stating this. He did also recommend
having a third party look at it to be sure. Welll PCGS graded it. I don't know who is right. Maybe PCGS screwed the pooch on this one. Maybe a new die combination? Kinda doubt it, but there it is.
