Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

  • onlyanumber,

John Cerutti was a true gentleman. So tragic that he passed away so suddenly and at such a young age. I live near Toronto and he is well loved. I had the opportunity to work with him at a charity golf tournament. He was close to being a professional golfer as well. A genuinely, good human being who loved his family more than anything else. He died way too young.

    My Favorite Players:

    Dale Murphy
    Craig Biggio
    John Olerud
    Robin Ventura
    Tim Raines

  • My all-time top 5:
    The BIG CAT Andres Galarraga
    Tim THE ROCK Raines
Jose Canseco (just loved watching him hit)
    The HITMAN Don Mattingly (ditto)
    El PRESIDENTE Denis Martinez

5 guys that I've seen play and really enjoyed watching are:

Jim Edmonds -- never know what you might see happen
Rickey Henderson -- especially the younger Rickey. Once he got on base he was a threat to steal his way around the bases
    Brooks Robinson -- great fielder
Dwight Evans -- great fielder ... great arm.
    Wade Boggs.

Honorable mention to Yaz for the way he duped so many hitters in Fenway with his mastery of playing the monster and to Brian Downing and Troy Glaus!

I'm obviously and Angel fan and an old school Sox fan.
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards

    Rod Carew
    George Brett
    Jim Rice
    Roger Clemens
    Curt Schilling

Edit: I used to like Steve Garvey, but not anymore since he is kind of a scuzzball now.

If I was forced to pick Yankees they would be:

    Ron Guidry
    Thurmon Munson
    Derek Jeter
    Don Mattingly
    Mariano Rivera
  • Ok read this thread earlier and gave it some thought. Going with guys that i actually saw play. Sorry i'm biased.

    1. Ozzie Smith
    2. Cal Ripken Jr.

(True gentlemen on and off the field)

    3. Jim Edmonds
(somewhat arrogant and a hot dog but entertaining, wish he'd get his average up though.)

    4. Scott Rolen
(plays the game how it should be played.)

    5. Willie McGee
