Fantasy League Suprises?

Which player on your team has been your biggest suprise so far. I would say mine is Nick Swisher, kind of picked him up for an extra OF/1st bs. Off to a good start.

  • Vernon Wells. He has always had potential and I tried to trade him before the season started and no one wanted him.
  • Baltimore reliever Chris Ray. He was my 16th round pick and I probably would have dropped him before the season started until I read he got the closers role in Baltimore. For that matter, I think Leo Mazzone is doing an incredible job with some of those Orioles pitchers...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

I wish Leo Mazzone would do something with Cabrera. He was a late round pick up for me who I think can be one solid pitcher if he gets his head on straight.

Vernon Wells is carrying my team offensively right now.

Yep, I have been loving Shelton.

I als am surprised by Jonny Gomes. He just hit his AL best 10th HR.

Greg Maddux? I don't think anyone could have seen him starting 4-0 with a sub 1.00 ERA at this stage in his career. It was funny that LaRussa called to have the ball inspected (twice) in his overwhelming dominance of them in his last start.

Same with Schilling... 4-0 with 1.61 ERA.

Tom Glavine is throwing pretty good, behind that lineup the Mets have he could post up some good stats this year as well.
