The 1966 dollars didn't have any packaging (like the 1972 and 73 dollars) that made them tone wildly. Was yours in a paper envelope? The only toning on the 1965's I've come across was reddish brown. Yours looks much nicer.
The dealer that I bought the coin from had a couple other Canadian dollars from the 50's that had similar toning. Maybe they were wrapped in paper or in an envelope before he got them.
