Yeah, and your spell-checker is broken, too.

Once again, I, a poor, piteous church mouse must beg scraps in a dark alley......."alms, alms, alms for tha poor!!"image

Well, I really do have a bill for 3000 quid facing me for upkeep of the crack in the priory walls.......image

I was thinking that too... but its Colin Cooke

perhaps this picture is a selling point for the four letter commodity that will have me banned for mentioning it in this thread....image

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. Should I upgrade to UNC for all dates in my post Victoria farthings, or fill holes in my 1806-1901 farthings? image

    From the site:

"We have had many worried collectors and dealers contacting us who are very concerned that the item they are seeking will be sold before they receive their catalogue (especially if it is delayed in the post or they are over seas). To prevent this and make the sale as fair as possible, no coin will be sold until two weeks after we have issued the printed catalogues.

Each coin will have an upper and lower estimate.

In the initial two week period of the lists being sent out, collectors and dealers can place bids for the items they are particularly seeking.

After this two week period we will knock down the coins with bids and sell them to the high bidder. For all coins with no bids we will let them go at their lower estimate i.e. after two weeks the remaining coins will be for sale at the lower estimate price.

We will update the current bid against the coin on our website pages so that interested parties can see how the auction is progressing.

Bids will be accepted by e-mail, phone, fax and post.

For those who do not have access to the internet, we will call the high bidder if someone else confirms a bid to pay more for the item.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for bids sent that do not arrive promptly.

Please make sure that your bid has been placed as early as possible"
