War Nickel Registry

I am beginning a war set. I have hoarded as many war nickels as I have come across (circulated), and have decided to go ahead and put together a Registry Set as I have a thing for these coins. I have a couple questions...

Are the "Proof" graded coins counted?? All the sets I see are all graded MS...

What grades higher for the set... a 66FS or a 67???

there is only 1 proof coin - the 1942-P type 2 and is not in either of the war nickel specialty sets

there is a basic circulation set with 11 coins and then the set with varieties which has some more

the full step bonus is worth 2 points so the 66FS is equivalent to a 68

the set is weighted - the 1942-P is worth 3 times as much as th 1943-D

it is cheaper to buy lower graded nickels than to have them graded yourself

good luck and have fun - these come in some awesome colors

I plan on buying all of the coins slabbed. I didnt know how the bonus points worked. How can I find out which coins are weighted more then the others?

    go to PCGS home page

    then to set registry

    then to nickels

then to bottom of page, specialty

then hit set you are interested in

    it lists the top ten

there are links saying this set is 'weighted' hit that link
