    I have a lot of tarnished silver coins. I don't like it when they get that way, but its worse if you clean them or dip them.

    I see 100 year old silver coins that are still white and shiny. Is this because they are in sealed airtites?

    image Airtites a hundred years ago....image On the lighter side, I suppose they could have been kept out of contact with air for that long; I've seen plenty of original white silver coins going back 100 years.

    Nice tarnish on that coin, Mesquite!!
