Any thoughts on the nickel? Also a couple of toners out of a 56 mint set.

The Liberty Nickel looks like a 65 to me. I can't tell on the 56 set coins. image

The toning on those 56 coins is cool, but there's no way I could hazard a guess on their grade from an image.

I think 65 is probably right for the nickel.

I agree completely.....can't tell on the Mint set coins due to the nature of the crackled toning???? image

I'd agree with 65 on the nickel.

It's hard to tell with the mint set coins. I can see some nicks on the Frankie through all that haze, so I'd say probably 65 on that, as well. no clue on the quarter. Neither coin looks particularly well-struck, though. (All of this ignores the toning (i.e., eye appeal) completely. It might just be the image, but the coins look too encrusted to be marketable with "market grading".)
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.

    Nice nickel!image

As far as the mint set, things from 1956 have a way of looking older than they really are.image

Marty: I like the psychedelic looking purple colored felt that you are using as a background for the photos! image

Low end 65 on the nickel. I bet you could send those bottom two in ten times and get at least three different grades on them. It's too hard to tell from images. I wouldnt be suprised anywhere from 64 to 66.
