1876 8 reales - how is the edge supposed to look?

of course, since I never learn, I bought a raw silver coin on the bay.
the weight is 'spot on' for my 1876 8 reales coin, but something bothers me about the edge...

how are these supposed to look ? reeded ? I know counterfeits can have a "seam" along the edge... but in this case what would be the seam is actually "behind" the reeded ege,
it's an interesting effect.... anyway... is this a faker ?!

sought after a couple examples at a local dealer and both were more worn examples of the 8 reales but the edges seemed to be uniform with an attempted "cross" like pattern.
