I admit to knowing little on how to grade the Ikes, but I like them just the same. That said, I know when I see one that looks good to "me".
And I like that ones color and eye appeal.

    I like it.
It will go for much more than I would be willing to spend though.

I would get that one reslabbed with the reverse-side up!image

I have yet to get ANY *(star) designation on a Clad Ike at NGC and I've sent in a few
with more color than that!......'Did get one on a nice 71-S PKOK in 67*

I was the under bidder. I like it, but am not chasing Ike's these days.

I think it is a solid MS66 and the color is COOL!

It could probably sell for a lot more than it did!

It's always hard for me to tell unless I can see the coin myself on a sunny day...image

I don't usually go for toned Ikes, but at least that one has "even" toning.

In my opinion, Ikes are too "new" to have developed toning if taken care of properly image

One fine Ike- completely original and appears superb and deserving of its current grade.

Very nice. I suspect this is not a mint set coin.

Very nice coin. My 77D MS66 is not toned. For some reason, I am not a big fan of toned clads. I like my clads untoned. I like toned silver, though.

I wouldn't have guessed that the toning was original. Then again, I'm no expert on Ikes.

Bill, if you like that Ike, then you MUST like some of Nick's roosies as they look just like that.....come on, admit it! image

    Craig,
that toning is decent for an IKE; for a roosie it is poo poo...yeh, it does look like Nick's set!!!!image

I definitely like that coin! The toning on the reverse is simple remarkable!

As far as coming from a mint set, I think its totally possible. I have pulled those coffee colored coins from 77 mint sets and wondered many times exactly what happened to cause the toning.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
