I'm going to be in Chicago...any shop recommendations?

I have a conference this weekend but it turns out my Navy procured travel arrangements are getting me there a little early so I'll have tomorrow afternoon to goof off. I figure I can try getting to a shop or two. Any recommendations?

Harlan Berk on Clark Street. It is worth a look

Are you staying in the Loop (Downtown)? Will you have a car?

Berk is smack in the middle of the Loop in the Financial District.

There may be two other shops in the stores downtown.....

one is in the basement of Marshall Fields, and the other is on the 4th or 5th floor of Carson, Pirie, Scott. Both stores are located on State St.......and hey, if they aren't there anymore you can buy some spiffy shoes....image

Check with Berk first and they'll know if the guys are still surviving.

    Stop by MadMarty's house.
