A question about the NGC grading procedures?

dizzyfoxxdizzyfoxx Posts: 9,823 ✭✭✭
I have submitted my first coin to NGC for grading. On the website, the status has gone from "Received" to "Scheduled For Grading", and today it's at "Quality Control".
I'm just curious what the standard shipping time frame is once it has reached the "Quality Control" status.image

Usually it takes about 1-2 days in Quality Control, then it will change to "Finalized/Imaged/Shipped" and your coins are on their way

However, I have done submissions where it goes to "quality control", stays there for a week, then reverts to grading again. I'm thinking "quality control" is the finalizer OKaying the grade and then the coin being slabbed.

I just got a couple of coins back last Friday that were in "Quality Control" for over a month.

I usually go earlybird service and it has always been 2-3 days before it is finalized.
