sorting

this may have been discussed before...but how do you sort your cards (by team, player, mfgr, etc...)?

there are so many people that want different things sometimes locating a specific card (that you know you have) for them seems to take forever.

Thanks,

David (LD_Ferg)

My personal (Will Not Sell ) collection is sorted by years in numerical order. The stuff I sell is in no particular order whatsover thats why I buy more than sell.

I'm not sorted at all, but I wish I was.

I don't know whether to sort by player, team, year, set, or average with the bases load in night games during the month of May. I'm lost and need help.

I don't even know what room to put stuff in. I've got stuff in my basement laundry room, my computer room, my master bedroom closet, my son's closet...........it's a mess.

Doesn't seem to matter until I need to find something, then it's a chore.

  • I finally sat down and sorted my registry set (85 donruss) last night, was not as bad as I thought...

Did find that empty 12 pack soda boxes (the long skinny newer ones) if you cut the tops off, are great holders...

This is how my cards are inventoried. I have a box for ungraded vintage hall of famers, a box for graded vintage HOFers, a box for raw modern stars, a box for modern graded stars. All of my sets are in the white 800 ct. boxes. and my commons are in the huge 9600 ct card houses. Those card houses are the best! I have 1 house for Topps, 1 house for Upper Deck, 1 House for Donruss, 1 for Fleer and 1 with mixed like Score, Pinnacle, Studio etc. The houses are sorted numerically and in order by year. Its nice when I look for a card I dont have to go searching like mad. It took a long time but it is convenient once it is done.
