The NBA Playoffs

What a total fraud. What, 4 teams from the East have a chance to make it with sub 500 records? I know it will never happen, but what they should do is pass a rule that no teams without a winning record are allowed to the post season party. If this means an odd number of teams get in then the 1 seed gets a bye. Who needs Chicago/Detroit? Or Miami/Indiana? Every year this happens, and it's a big part of the reason why IMO the NBA is losing it's appeal. You have the regular season, which slowly comes to a boil by now, and then the whole thing just fizzles out as we wait 2 weeks for each one of these pitiful little 1-8 and 2-7 matchups to resolve themselves. By the time only the 'real teams' are standing the playoffs have completely lost their momentum and you just don't care anymore.

Compare this with the NFL and MLB, where the excitement generated by the playoff races in the last part of the regular season just keeps building through the wildcard and divisional rounds.

This is why its bad having so many teams in...just like hockey.

But then, more postseason games = more revenue = more greed.

I really hope baseball nor football adopt a plan of putting more teams in the playoffs.
