Is anyone interested in buying all my baseball cards?

I probably have 15 to 20k mostly late 70's and early 80's. I have some PSA graded (PSA 9 Bonds Fleer Glossy rc, PSA 8 McGwire Topps rc, SGC 96 Topps Clemens rc) and quite a few raw rc's of Ripken (at least 5 NM/MT Topps), Puckett Fleer Update rc, multiple Clemens Topps rc, Boggs, Sandburg, Mattingly, Puckett, Sosa, ect.... Most of the cards were from Vending and packs that I broke up until a couple of years ago when I went strictly football.

My best guess is that I could get $1k for what I have - but I'd be will to trade for football or any FB HOF autographs that I need.

I'm sorry if this isn't the best thread, but this collection would be great to any set builders whether raw or PSA. When I broke the vending boxes and packs, I didn't grade anything - just pulled the stars which are part of this collection. Many of the cards are still in the vending boxes (79 Topps, 80 Topps, 81 Topps, 82 Topps, 83 Topps, 83 Fleer, 84 Topps and 85 Topps) that I bought. PM me or e-mail me at montooth13@yahoo.com if you're interested. Thanks.

Regards,

Greg M.

I couldn't agree more. Good luck with the cards Greg. As usual, I'm always envious of someone who can focus on something . . . anything . . . like you are doing with football. Good for you.

    Congrats on the sale.

And as far as the clown with 84 posts trying to make fun, everyone sees him as the dope here. I think, though, he's made probably 83 too many posts, as far as I can tell.

That was indeed a fair offer, from what I can see. The SGC 96 Clemens RC could be a $500 PSA 10, and I'd bet that's exactly where it's going.

    Congrats on the sale, Greg.

    Wulf,

To be honest, that is exactly why I'm selling my bb cards. I'm down to only a few HOF auto's.... I traded for a Blood McNally and Ernie Nevers. The last toughies I need are Earle "Greasy" Neale, Link Lyman and Arnie Herber - which are only available on cut cards and Steve Owen and Turk Edwards which exist on 1952 Bowman and 1935 Chicle/1955 All American respectively. I have never seen any of the cards listed above for sale....

Did you see my post that the Henry Jordan was rejected by PSA/DNA!!! The seller guarantees that it's real so I may get a 2nd opinion.

Yeah, I saw that. Tough situation there although I doubt there'd be anyway to get PSA/DNA to change their mind, at least that's the impression I've gotten on items they've considered non-authentic.

I've still got a ways to go on my set but it's definitely an enjoyable hunt.

I found a greasy neale auto exhibit card from when he played baseball for the reds. It's the same guy, gradeable, auto. Seller wants $750, might be negotiable but who knows.

Herber was on diamond matchbooks in 1933 and wheaties in 1935 or 1937. I don't know if he ever signed any but again they're gradeable and it's possible.

Turk Edwards was on lots of Diamond Matchbooks, I think 33 thru 37.

Steve Owen was also, when he played for the Giants.

Link Lyman? Never seen anything but a 3x5 card.

By the way I bought a legit Al Davis auto today. Did you get yours yet?

    Jim,

Thanks for the info. I don't think the matchbooks would count as "cards" for the set - but I'll keep on the lookout. I'll check out the Greasy Neale - thanks again.
