A quick question for my esteemed friends on the board

Hello all, I have a conundrum here. I have been a PSA member for about 3 years now and have been reading these boards for even longer. I would never choose another grading company for my cards and have had a decent experience overall. Until recently, that is. My membership was due to be renewed in Jan. this year and I almost missed the deadline but made it in before the date. I paid online w/ a credit card that for some dumbassed reason had my old address listed on it - we moved 6 months prior to that time and I mailed in numerous address change forms, etc. Being in a hurry I clicked the payment to go through even though at the last minute I saw the incorrect address and couldn't stop my finger from clicking the mouse. AAARGHh. Noticing my mistake I immediately call PSA to rectify this and spoke with a young man on the phone who took my current info. and said no problems would come from my mistake - all would be well. So.... in a few weeks I begin receiving the SMR again (after a few issue lapse) but no grading vouchers (why else do we subscribe?). I am a busy fellow so I let it slide... I send an e-mail in Feb. asking about my voucher and am told to be patient for a reply; they are busy... I let it slide again and looking through some cards last week I remembered I still don't have it. I call and am told that the voucher was mailed to my old address - even tho the SMR comes here. The woman on the phone is unwilling to just send out my voucher to correct any mistake or oversight on their part. I am told that management would have to approve if another could be sent and she did not know when I could expect to hear from someone on this. I am getting kind of perturbed now, these things are numbered and watermarked and obviously the one they sent hasn't been used,so mail me a new one. No dice. Has this happened to anyone else? I spend $170 to have this misery? Granted - it's nice to have auction catalogs for bathroom reading again, but come on - all I want is my grading voucher. I really hope this thread doesn't get zapped.
Just glad to be here with everyone.

I agree that is rediculous. Check your PM.

Seeing as vouchers are all serial numbered, it shouldn't be a big deal to cancel the old one and send you a new one. If management has to approve it, then ask to speak to someone in management.

A lot of companies depend on customers letting it slide and not raise too much trouble complaining. They pass the buck transferring us from one department to another.

If management has to approve, then she should have let you speak with a manager then and there.

File with the BBB. That has worked well with me when I had to deal with lame customer service.

Stick with PSA a little longer but CALL THEM MONDAY and get this cleared up. There is no excuse.

I think PSA abuses their market leader position a little more than the average company.
  • This is maybe only slightly related to the initial post (which I agree is a difficult situation to understand), but what's the easiest way to see when your membership is set to expire? I'd like to renew prior to missing out on any issues of SMR, but can't find out when my current membership expires. Aside from scouring my office at home for old records, does anyone know how to determine when the membership expires?

Some people here have e-mail addresses and numbers for others in PSA who may be able to provide more assistance. Hopefully they'll get you the contact info.

Myself - I had one issue a few years back and received a phone call from a higher up explaining the situation.

Sorry though that I no longer have the contact info.

They sent me a post paid envelope with a form 1 month before my subscription was about to expire.

You will be notified 1 month before the expiration date. You ca either do it online, or use the form they mail to you.

As for the original poster he needs to contact someone like carol or cosetta or gayle. PM Carol and you will get somewhere.
