I concur, the Lange book is excellent. It even describes the 1923-D and 1930-D and has a picture of the 1923-D. By the way, I am a STRONG buyer for these 2 dates.

David Lange's book is the best one on the Mercury Dime series. If you want more detailed background on the origin, design and initial production (including the failed August 1916 coins) look for a copy of "Renaissance of American Coinage 1916-1921."

That is the one I have. It seems pretty complete.
I was able to get Dave to sign mine.

So far, I've identified "The Complete Guide to Mercury Dimes" and "Treasure Hunting Mercury Dimes", both available on Amazon.

Would it be OK if I punched some up for you?
