David Wright - HOT ROOKIE

Comments

  • SMR is useless for modern. PSA 9's of that card have been +$35 for a looong time
  • one ended on March 30th via a BIN for $42.99. Granted, that one had an ebay life of just over an hour, but I think this auction is this high for lack of competition.

There's a population of 99 of the PSA 10s. When an auction like this comes around, I think a whole lot of sellers start digging through their cards for the ideal submission card...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
  • How about this one? I would have liked to buy that one at $42 and flip it.

    BGS 9.5 Wright rookie
  • This is a classic sellers of dream of two people fighting over one card. I wish all of my auctions went like this.....

Buy it in a few years.

This was my thinking last year. I bought the 2002 refractor wright auto for under 100$ i sold it for 160$. thinking i will be able to rebuy this card in the future.

problem is with the 2002 auto run from bowman chrome. it is very limited. and the way this kid is playing and his popularity is reaching jeter status in new york, it isnt gonna come down. this card will sell for over 300$+ forever unless he gets injured or completly starts to tank. which i dont see him tanking. this kid is the real deal.

edit to add.. looking at the cards of his you guys scaned im even more pissed. those could of been bought for under 15$ last year. i bought 5 of the pristine ones for 6$ and under. i cant believe those ones are selling that high. i though this was about the bowman chrome auto. which there are only 500 refractors and less of the xfrac and gold ones. weird.

Wright is the real deal. I bought several of his RC's last year, and thought I paid a lot then...but, there is a lot of upside still.
