Playing Basketball with Connie Hawkins

I thought I would share a great experience I had yesterday. I got to participate in the Phoenix Suns fantasy camp at U.S. Airways arena yesterday. The camp counselors were HOFer Connie Hawkins, John Shumate and Tim Kempton (all former Suns). They drilled us in passing, dribbling and shoting drills. Then we went up to the main floor and played 40 minutes of basketball. Before playing they turned out the lights and turned up the music, brought out some cheerleaders and then called each campers name to run out onto the floor. Neat experience. All three counselors were great and took time to sign some autographs with us after the 3 hour camp. Here is a photo of the group.
