Tremendous! I remember that season like yesterday. The only thing that video is missing is Keith Hernandez smoking in the clubhouse after he made his 10th inning out and then coming back whooping it up when the Mets made their come back.

What baseball fan doesn't remember where they were on that Saturday night in 1986. I was a huge Cardinal fan back then. They had nipped the Mets in 1985, but New York kicked their butts four straight in April 1986 in St. Louis and that was that. I think the Mets won 108 in the regular season.

Houston battled them hard in the NLCS but lost that epic battle in game 6.

Then comes the World Series. Bosox win 1-0 in game one on an unearned run by a Tim Teufel error. Then Gooden vs. Clemens in game 2. Neither threw great that night but Boston won. Coming back to Fenway up 2-0 they were in the drivers seat. (same thing happened to St. Louis the year before up 2-0 coming home) Mets win games 3 & 4, but Boston takes one at home. Then this. In case you don't remember game 7 was rained out on Sunday so they skipped Oil Can Boyd and Hurst came back on Monday. Boston takes a 3-0 lead and you think that there is a God, but no and the Mets are the champs and the curse is brought up again.

Buckner was made the goat but I think it was Schiraldi. Thankfully in 2004 I was not a Cardinal and when Boston won eight in a row to end the season I was happy for them.
  • I wouldn't have even been able to watch that two years ago. Thank God for '04!

maybe he sliced it, because that must be really hard to do.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!
