well, not what i had hoped for (especially the clemens...i'm a big fan since i was young), but oh well...i'll learn from here on out....its kind of a humbling experience

    Try a 10x loupe, It helped me enourmously.

    I think I was lucky on my first couple of submissions...I sent in some vintage cards that I knew were not 8s or 9s but really happy since I bought raw from sellers and the cards didnt come back altered.
    My current search for gradeable cards in my collection is as follows: initial scan of the card to look at centering, surface wear/creases and corners. Then I grab my loupe (actually just a 4X magnifying glass, but it's amazing that even at only 4X, you can see cards you shouldnt be submitting). Then I let the cards sit. I come back to them and take another look. I like a few days separation so I don't let past views cloud my judgement. I've found that my results for sending in higher quality cards has gone way up.

    i also got some cards back from beckett as well...these were alittle better

    all from 05 bowman chrome draft:

    zimmerman auto 9.0
    rasmus auto 9.0
    martinez 9.0

    again, i thought these would have been 9.5's....ha, better luck next time....

    i'll be out buying a loup this weekend = )

    Be sure to get a lighted loupe, and you ideally want one with 10x magnification. There's a seller on Ebay named oncoso that sells these for I believe $14 delivered, and that's the best price I've personally found.

    you'll get better at your submissions, dont worry about it.. when you get your cards back, just look at them close and see if you can spot why the got the grades they got, and use them to compare to other cards..

    I don't know Perry. I think I have gotten better but my last 2 subs have not been upto what I thought they would be.

    Here is one that popped today. The 1970 FB are Mint, they truely are. I was shocked at how many 8's. The Philly's all seemed pretty strong too. I may have to resubmit and hope for a different grader.

    yeah youre right, i got a buttload of 8's on my last 2 subs..

    i just sent in a bulk 1960's order, im hoping for alot of 9's..

    Actually I just had a 2 card order that had 404... They came out to what I thought they would. I hoped for better but knew that an 8 and a 7 were likely on those.

    All of my recent orders have been cluttered with flip errors. Anyone else noticing Quality Control issues?

    All of the grades I've been pleased with.
    Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards

    Flip errors are when PSA incorrectly labels your card. For example, your 1985 Fleer Roger Clemens #155 would have been returned to you with the label 1986 Fleer Roger Clemens #155.

    They are a pain as you have to re-submit the card to correct the label.

    I have not noticed an increase in these errors lately.

    I got one last $5 special where the flip said 83 Topps instead of 85 Topps, It is a slight inconvenience but PSA will make it right, and they'll give you a free sub for your cost of shipping.
