without the hassle of going to ebay and entering that item number to view said item.....

I still say they are a complete waste of time and nothing more than a 15c novelty just like virtually all of the newer buffalo die cracks, spikes, horns, legs, teeth, butts, and nuts.

I wouldn't pay 1.00 for one except to resell.

Wow, for that much money you could get a Dahlonega minted half eagle from the 1850s.

That would not be a coin for me.

    tj,

you will have to double if not triple that money to get an
xf45 D half eagle you will enjoy.

even the dogs go for more it seems.

insane money for that coin? yes i think so.
but my opinion means squat to the buyer.

  • Not a collector of these, but a search on ebay resulted in:

    MS64 - closed in the $200 - $215 range
    MS65 - closed from $295 - $400 range

I would hate to be the guy that paid $1500

so nice to have these posts bumped up to feel vindicated in knowing
what would happen to the price after a few years.
