I am in love with this one! This image has to be my current favorite. I haven't attempted anything large yet, but the 4000dpi scan I had done should yield a 20x30 that is very clear. This is a gallery piece. This was taken during Foster's awesome 1977 season before a game at Wrigley Field, Chicago. His eyes are intense and the clarity of this slide is amazing! I know it's not Friday, but I had to post this one today. Are there any Foster fans here??? The guy could mash!

I'm not sure I'll ever look at this photo the same after that.
Duner,
This photo was taken by Ron Mrowiec. He photographed many visitors to the "Friendly Confines" back in the day. The original slide has since been purchased and scanned at a high resolution and the image has been restored and balanced to it's original glory by Old School Images. That's the clarity you see posted here. It takes hours to correct color, adaptive light, shadow tones and shading and natural flesh while maintaining the balance and integrity of the uniforms and weather the picture was shot in. Factor in the decay from being poorly stored with good 'ol fashioned dirt and grime and images like this one are a minor miracle, in my opinion. I love digital technology. This image captures true athletic intensity.

I think Ron still lives in the Chicago area. I think he used to work with his wife in the same real estate firm I used to work at. Pretty sure its the same guy, but you never know.
