Proof or mint state sovereign? Please help

Hi de ho

I have come into a little unexpected cash and it is burning the proverbial hole in my pocket. So a coin purchase is in the offing. I have my eye on some gold, I know it ain't cheap these days but I wasn't this money at all so why not blow it!

Here's the choice

1. 2006 UK Proof sovereign

2. 2006 UK Mint state full and half sovereign

I can only afford one of the two options so please let me know what would you preference.

Proof gold is so cool. Then again, 2 gold coins are better than one. As a collector, I would pick #1.

The proofs are really pretty and I would probably choose that. On the other hand, if you have the hoarding instincts of a dragon, more actual gold is pretty nice too .
