<< <i>If you notice he charges $8.95 for shipping also- but on his auctions that are PCGS coins he wants $13.95 shipping?? i did not know that it cost more to send a PCGS slab in the mail then any other. I guess i will have to tell my post office when i am mailing a PCGS slab so they can charge me $5.00 extra.
I didn't even notice that! Incredible!
<< <i>Dumb question, so please don't flame me. How is this wrong? Isn't he just quoting the PCGS price guide value, as some do when they put "Greysheet" or "Trends" in the title? >>
It's wrong because the clear intent is to get more search hits on his items by putting "PCGS" in the title. It's a common method of forcing people to look at one's coins that they
don't want to see and eBay is very clear about how this violates their policies. If he really just wanted to tell you about the PCGS pricing he could've put it in the auction description.
However that too hedges on violating the policy as searches can be conducted to include the item description. As far as "Greysheet" or "Trends", I doubt many people are searching
for anything called Greysheet or Trends. The only thing that should be in the title is exactly what is being sold.
Lastly, notice that he didn't put the PCGS price guide value on the coins he's selling that ARE PCGS.
