Mark? What happened with your sets? VERY SAD UPDATE

Mark McCleneghan was a Lincoln registry set owner. His Memorial set was in the top 10. Looks like all
the sets are deleted. Does anyone know what happened? Just curious!

  • He retired his Lincolns. They're on Ebay now. Good luck Mark.

  • I am deeply saddened to report that Mark McClenaghan has passed away. I sent a message regarding
his Ebay listings and his son, Rick, informed me. I will always remember the friendly and spirited competition
that existed between us. I will miss him. image

It amazes me how we get to “know one another” here without ever meeting, yet when we hear the passing of someone you really did not know it can still affect you…human nature and cyberspace, what a weird combination.

    RIP Mark

  • Mark's son, Rick, informed me that he had fought a brave 3-year battle. But during our coin conversations,
he never complained or mentioned his declining health. He wouldn't bring up his problem. He would only
talk of what he loved: collecting coins. Dang it, I feel really bad.

I did not personally know Mark...but it's always very sad to hear about good people passing away. I'm sure many of us here might end up with a coin or two of his (either now or further down the road) and it would be nice if those people noted it in your registry set. Let's just hope that he left specific instructions on the values of the coins, etc. so his family does not take a wash when selling off his collection. From Registry Nut's comments...it sounds like that is not a worry at this point.

    RIP

P.S. I've always wondered if there are nicer lincolns than Stewart's in heaven image

Oh wow, that is terrible. I sold him some of those coins and bought some as well from him. this is sad.
  • I can say that his son, Rick, informed me that no other family member shared his passion for coins. And,
Mark did leave specific instructions regarding the sale of his coins.
