    The obverse rim near the date looks like the die didn't press down hard enough
    on the planchet - it kind of looks like a "smeared" date.

    I'm going to have my dealer take a look at it and see what he thinks.

    I'll try to get a scan or pic of it and post it here.

    PS - I could be wrong. I could just be rim wear, but it doesn't look like
    the date could have fit in the space correctly.
