Building up your Paypal account

Ever notice when you sell items on Ebay with the sole intention of building up your Paypal account, people start sending Money Orders and Checks?

Yes, I know it's a simple task to put in your listing 'Paypal Only', but I like to give people as many options as possible for paying.

I really don't think you need to build up your paypal account. Are you referring to having a balance or the paypal "transaction" score?
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

  • as fickle as eBay and Paypal are, I don't hold anything over $200 in there...they can/will shut down your account for the craziest of reasons and it takes an act of congress to get it back up...believe me, been there done that...and yet they never even told me anything concrete except that they thought someone from a foreign country had "tried" to log into my account...heck, I can "try" to log into anyones account if I wanted to and give them suspicion....DON'T HOLD any money worth a flip for long in Paypal...

  • I'm not talking about a large sum of money, I just like spare change in there ( $100 or less) so I'm able to make the purchases without having to rely on the credit card being charged.

isn't your paypal account tied to a bank account too? you could do a money transfer if your paypal balance does not have enough. i like the added protection of a credit card plus the rebate perks my card gives.
