Some dealer has a set that grades out at 4.5, or something for 7k. Sounds too high for such low grades. Is this set impossible to find graded??? Seems more common than the 1948 Bowman.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

Such a nice set, but someone couldn't remember what year it was lol
The set is tough to get in PSA 6 form centered. In PSA 7 grade the cards are out there but finding centered cards is fairly difficult and there are some low pop cards that regularly outsell SMR. In PSA 8 it is very very difficult to put together.
7K for a PSA set that has a 4.5 average would seem to me to be way out of the ballpark. I have been selling off my 5's and 6's on ebay and most of the time they get $9.99 a cards for commons and semi-stars. The really well centered cards still do not reach SMR in these grades.
Allen - Too bad about the pen marks. The cards look pretty good otherwise.
Congratulations on your progress with the '57s. When I'm a little closer to completing my '69 through '75s, I'm gonna take a shot at the '48, '57 an '61 in mid grade (5's to '7s centered). I'll probably be looking for advice when that time comes.
I'm at 77.2% on the other sets, and I figure it'll start really getting slow as I get over 85%.
