Chicago Bears HOF set

I was just curious why Bobby Layne is not included in the Chicago Bears HOF set. I thought he played for the Bears.

I think he only played one or 2 years there, mostly the Steelers and Lions. They usually include players that played a significant time with the team..

I don't think Unitas is listed with the Chargers, or OJ with the 49ers, etc.

Saves you a few $$ if you're doing a team set!

Only played for the Bears in 1948, his rookie year.

I beleive the players listed on the HOF Bears and HOF Browns sets are players who had significant contributions to those particular teams (as determined by the HOF itself).

Yep, that was the critera I used when I requested the set: Significant contribution as designated by the HOF.

That's why Alan Page, even though he played in a Bears uni for 3 years, was also not included.
