USPS Tracking problem

Hi all,
I mailed a box to PSA on Thursday (4/6) and I of course sent it out w/ delivery confirmation. I tried to track the box this morning, nearly 48 hours later, and it still shows that there was "no record of numbers in the system" or something to that effect.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? I hope there's not a problem in the system or something. I know I PAID for the delivery confirmation, and you can only pay for it if it is scanned at the post office.
Can anyone alleviate my concerns here? It really freaked me out, because I have shipped tons of boxes and the tracking info has ALWAYS been there within 24 hours. It's almost been 48 hours here.

<< <i>Did you give it to a person or drop it off in the drop ship? Also, using the DIY kiosk, they won't enter the package into the system until it arrives at it's destination.

I gave it to a person. I have used the kiosk before and it was only logged into the system upon delivery.
Thanks for everyone's help!!!
All of my stuff goes out with delivery confirmation, either First Class or Priority, using Paypal shipping.
I find that until it's delivered the website says the package has been presented or USPS has been notified to expect it. When it's delivered it will then show.
I think they don't have a "city by city" tracking like UPS or FedEx.

SoFLPhillyFan, it happens to me all the time. Very frustrating when one is paying for tracking. Usually it gets in the system eventually but I have at least 2 cases where it never got in the system. One time it never got in the sytem the letter took weeks to get to its destination. I had given up on it being lost and since it was a personal check I issued a new one and stopped payment on the "lost" one.

I understand that, which is why I'm worried. My package still says it is not even in the system.
